“I Kissed a Girl” singer Katy Perry dismissed rumors that she will be wearing one of those eye-catching, fantasie latex bridal gowns in her upcoming marriage to comedian Russell Brand.Katy Perry Latex dress

The young artist said that she will marry her fiancé but she wouldn’t dare wear one of the latex bridal gowns when she walks down the aisle some time soon. She said that she would be too “sweaty” during the ceremony and couldn’t stand the heat anyway. She added she wouldn’t want to feel uncomfortable as she celebrates one of the most special days in her life.

The union of these artists is expected to take place later this year.

Speculations arose that Perry is all set to surprise her guests by wearing something outrageous in the wedding. Though Perry has yet to neither confirm nor deny this rumor, she said she wouldn’t go far as to wearing a latex gown. But Russell may like the fact you can just wipe clean latex. Wax on, wax off.

Popular Irish actress Amy Huberman revealed that she’s getting obsessed into wearing bridal accessories – especially her bridal shoes. She admitted that she keeps wearing them all the item if she has the opportunity.

The newly-wed star said the she got to wear her designer wedding shoes so many times unlike other brides who just wear them once – that is, when they walk down the aisle. With the recession tightening everyone’s belts, it does not seem like a bad idea to reuse your wedding garments, or even recycle them!

The blonde beauty was married to Brian O’Driscoll last month and the ceremony itself cost the couple more than 70,000 euros. The actress said that she just loves her Nando Muzi ivory platform shoes she wore at the ceremony that she would likely wear them before summer ends.

The 31-year old doesn’t mind the publicity wherein she was caught wearing the same set of heels in public events because she stresses the importance of recycling shoes and bridal accessories.

Leading American magazine Us Weekly confirmed that former child actress Hilary Duff has tied the knot with her Canadian hockey player fiancé Mike Comrie in Santa Barbara, California last Saturday.

According to sources, the event was an elegant affair with close friends and family attending the union of the two high-profile personalities.

One of the guests told the magazine’s source that Duff wore one of the most stunning bridal gowns created by popular designer Vera Wang.

The singer-actress looked great in the Vera Wang creation if it can be judged on the grainy photos that have been leaked to the media. The gown was said to be strapless but has a flowing skirt.

In a Twitter message, Duff’s older sister, Haylie, revealed that the wedding was “filled with love and beautiful memories.”

Malaysian designer makes own wedding dress, sets train record

Malaysian fashion designer S. Revathi thought that she would get married in grand fashion and would rather not get or purchase any wedding dress from any department store. Being a capable designer, she decided to design one for herself.

The 31-year old managed to create a stunning gown with a resounding 85-meter long train.
During the wedding, the guests were surprised about the length of the train and at the same time mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the wedding dress’ design. Revathi’s creation made it to the Malaysia Book of Records as the longest wedding dress train.

MBR rep Leona Paul said that Revathi beat the previous record which was 35 meters.

Revathi reasoned that she wanted her wedding dress to be unique and that she wanted to walk down the aisle with her very own creation.

She married her boyfriend of ten years.

Reports have surfaced that “X Factor” judge Dannii Minogue will be designing her own line of wedding dresses and hinted that she’ll walk down the aisle wearing one of her designer wedding dresses.

In a separate interview, Minogue said that she thinks her new beau Kris Smith may be the one for her.

The Australian singer will be adding the wedding collection in her Project D fashion brand and she admitted in her reality show “Style Queen” that she’s been designing wedding dresses recently.

The artist also said that she’s happy with her career after it soared once more after a brief decline. Currently she has her reality television show, a new album, an autobiography in the works and a Marks & Spencer billboard advertisement.

Minogue believes that being happy can really attract good things which is just proven with what’s happening with her these days.

Actor James Van Der Beek, the popular actor in “Dawson’s Creek” days, has tied the knot for the second time to Kimberly Brook. The newlyweds married at a Kabbalah center in Israel recently and are currently spending their honeymoon in the Middle Eastern country as well. An Israeli website reported the union and accompanied it with the photos of the happy couple.

Van Der Beek officially confirmed the marriage via his official Twitter account on Sunday. His new wife is currently carrying their first child.

The “Dawson’s Creek” star wore a long-sleeved, collared white dress shirt accompanied with white pants and white shoes. His wife on the other hand, wore a simple bridal gown composed of black, sleeveless maxi dress. She wore a short, lacy white veil on her head.

Van Der Beek has been practicing Kabbalah for the past seven years. He finalized his divorce from first wife – actress Heather McComb earlier this year.
