Australian bridal gown retailers revealed that despite the trend these days where brides would like to experiment and go for outrageously designed wedding gowns, majority would still go for classic bridal gowns because they would still prefer to stick with tradition.

Angela Wilson, an owner of her own bridal shop, said that even though traditional church weddings are going down in number, brides-to-be still opt for the classic dresses.

Bigger dresses are also being preferred by more of her buyers rather than the slimming gowns because the width of the skirts are being appreciated.

Wilson said that she just conducted a major fashion show and it proved very fruitful after she met 120 brides in just a matter of two days.

Instead of the traditional white colors for the bridal gowns, more women are choosing other brighter colors for their wedding outfits, along with more risque wedding lingerie.

It is easy to say “I do” when the man of your life proposes to you. However, what follows next can be quite a challenge - planning that dream wedding without shelling all your hard earned cash.

Smart couples these days carefully consider all wedding expenses, from the invitations and flowers, to venue and honeymoon, mainly owing to the recession. So, I’ve here are two key points that any budget-friendly wedding should definately consider:

•    Use of the internet: With more people being connected with the internet, it is easy for couples to send their wedding invitations online. Instead of spending a lot on printing formal invitations on fancy paper, design an attractive invitation using imaging software then send these electronic cards online.

Many wedding services can also be compared on line, which will help you find the best and most competitive deal out there for you.

•    That wedding dress: Instead of going to wedding dress sections in department stores, check with close family relatives and friends if they have a wedding dress that you can buy or borrow because chances are they may be able to let go of these dresses because it will go to someone special like you. Plus, the dress may look be rather vintage!

“Brothers and Sisters” series regular Dave Annable has been planning for a big wedding day after proposing to Odette Yustman in February this year. This time, Yustman provided some other juicy information about the marriage.

The “You Again” star said that she will be married before the year ends and also revealed that her bridal gown will be designed by popular fashion designer Monique Lhuillier.

The 25-year old actress revealed that she tried the first dress on and she immediately loved it. She added that she won’t be divulging other information about the big day since they themselves have yet to finalize everything, including on what bridal lingerie to wear and shoes.

No actual date had been given on the wedding but 30-year old Annable was quoted as saying that the wedding may take place at an outdoor location and it’s going to be very “extravagant.” He added that it won’t take place in a beach.

The new wife of Greece’s Prince Nikolaos stunned everyone with her ravishing look as she walked down the aisle. Newlywed princess Tatiana looked very much a royal figure as she dazzled everyone including her new husband.Nikolaos Wedding Dress
She wore a very sophisticated-looking gown designed by New York-based Venezuelan fashion designer Angel Sanchez. The bride arrived at the venue by horse-drawn carriage. She wore a strapless gown that has a moulded bodice that accentuated her very slender waist. Wearing a full-length veil, she was assisted by no less than the fashion designer as she went down the carriage.

She also wore a great-looking headpiece that was worn in the past by Crown Prince Pavlov’s wife Marie-Chantal during the latter’s wedding 15 years ago. The headpiece started as a brooch that belonged to Queen Victoria of Sweden’s daughter Ingrid but was later designed to become a headpiece.

Despite her financial woes, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson still made it to her half-sister’s Alice Ferguson’s wedding and she donned on an unusual bridesmaid dress as she witnessed her sister walk down the aisle.

Ferguson has been keeping a low profile lately due to the scandals that she was involved with recently.

In the wedding, Fergie, as she is popularly called, seemed happy as she greeted fellow attendees. She was wearing a multicolored silk dress with embroidered cropped jacket. The dress looked very elegant and to some onlookers, still looked very expensive and fitting for the royal figure.

Alice Ferguson is the daughter of Sarah’s late father and second wife Susan Deptford. She was a bridesmaid when Sarah was married to Prince Andrew a few decades ago. Now a director of a travel company, the new bride is based in Singapore with new husband Nick Stileman who is an Australian banker.
