Fashion designer Douglas Hannant is ready to expand his business empire. Having known for creating evening and wedding wear, Hannant is slated to include lingerie, bridal accessories and fragrance which will captivate women everywhere.

Being in the industry for 13 years, Hannant already has a penchant in terms of designing clothing.
According to reports, the luxury perfume called Douglas Hannant de Robert Piguet will be unveiled at the New York City’s The Plaza Hotel later this year.

A potential collaboration proposal was sent by Robert Piguet Parfums to the designer in which the latter agreed after finding that it is beneficial for both parties. Perfume developer Aurélien Guichard of Givaudan created the fragrances which were labeled and sealed individually with silver thread to give it a touch of elegance.

The fragrance is scheduled for sale on February 2011.

The promotion of the highly anticipated release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One” next month hit a little snag as the film’s costume designer was accused of allegedly ripping off one of the designs of late celebrity fashion designer Alexander McQueen in one of the film’s major characters.

Costume designer Jany Temime stated in an interview with Los Angeles Times about her inspiration behind the wedding gown worn by character Fleur Delacour (played by actress Clémence Poésy) for her marriage to Bill Weasley. However, when the design was unveiled, one of the bloggers stated that it was a rip-off from McQueen’s autumn/winter 2008 collection.

As of now, there’s no official statement coming from the officials from Alexander McQueen’s company and Temime’s side has yet to be taken about this latest allegation.

Harry Potter is scheduled for release on November 19.
